We have divided the map into 2 parts, so that it can be read well also on a mobile phone.

Map 1:

The B&B is located in the center, in a side street (Via Generale Armando Diaz) that crosses the main street of the city (Corso Vittorio Emanuele), perfectly halfway between the station and the historic center (both a 5-minute walk). The port can also be reached in 5 minutes on foot, which allows you to easily use ferries to visit the Amalfi Coast.

Leaving the B&B, after reaching Corso Vittorio Emanuele, you will enter in the historic center through Piazza Portanova.

Map 2:

Inside the historic center, the main street changes name (not more Corso Vittorio Emanuele, but Via Mercanti). This road leads:

• first, to a perpendicular street: Via Duomo (with which it’s possible to reach the Cathedral for a side, and San Giorgio Church for the other side)
• and then until the end of the historic centre, from which it’s possible to exit from Via Portacatena.

At this point (on Via Portacatena) you can:

• take the elevator to visit the magnificent Giardino della Minerva (a botanical garden, which was the “pharmacy” of the Salerno Medical School, the oldest medical university in the world!);
• or you can reach the new square of the city (Piazza della Libertà) and return to the B&B walking along the waterfront, stopping for an aperitif on the sea at the Embarcadero, which, with the exception of what there is in the 2 ports of the city, it is the only building present on the entire waterfront!

Returning to the first map: it is also very nice to take a walk in Piazza Flavio Gioia, with the ancient door of the city, through which you return to the historic center from a parallel street of Via Mercanti (Vicolo Masuccio Salernitano).
