When the guests ask for an early check-in, for example between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m., this is what we normally answer:
“Your room it will be ready at 12:30 (that is the time of check in, as you can read in our mail, or on Booking, if you have reserverved by Booking), but you can arrive before: you can leave the luggage in the breakfast room, speak with us in the reception about a lot of things (we can show you what you can do, visit and eat), and also go out for a first walk. From 12:30 we will put your luggage in your room. It’s normal that, if one room will be ready before, you can start to enter in the room also before.”

But, in a case like a really early arrival (for example between 07:00 and 8:00 a.m.) you have to consider that: from 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. there is the breakfast time, so we can’t show you what you can do, visit and eat at that time, because we have before to finish the breakfasts.
Moreover, since that from 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. there is the breakfast time, before 8:30 a.m. our guests are still sleeping, so, for cases like these, we suggest a very good solution: the Gran Caffè Canasta (very close to the station) offers the service of luggage storage (that is possible to reserve by internet) and it’s a bar, so you can have also breakfast there.

After leaving the luggage, we suggest you to make an excursion, and to come back, after the excursion, (we can decide an appointment together, by whatsapp) for your check-in.
For the excursion, first of all, consider this: we strongly advise against purchasing ferry tickets in advance, you can easily do it here in Salerno, being sure that the weather permits the ferry trip: we guarantee that by following our instructions here at reception, you will always find a place.
What does it means “being sure that the weather permits the ferry trip”? The beauty of sleeping in Salerno consists in being able to reach, in a very easy way, all the main places of interest; consequently it will be fantastic to be able to decide, during your stay, what to do day by day (for example: excellent weather = let’s go to the coast / cloudy weather = let’s go to Pompeii).
In these 10 years of working at the B&B, we’ve seen thousands of people go to Capri in the rain and Pompeii in the sun. Why? Because they booked everything in advance and couldn’t change their reservations during their stay.

So, which excursion do we suggest for your day with the super early check-in?
Vietri, because it’s the first place of the Amalfi coast and it’s reachable by train from the same station from which you are coming (so there is not problem about weather conditions). You will find all the information on this page of our website:
Pompeii or Paestum, for the same reasons (they are reachable by from the same station from which you are coming, so there is not problem about weather conditions). You will find all the information on this page of our website:
Capri, if you check the weather the day before of your arrival, you can be sure that the weather will be good for the next day: Capri is the only one place for which we suggest to buy the ticket in advance (but it’s important to make this operation only the day before of your excursion, to be sure about the weather).
Capri, in fact, is very far from Salerno, so:
- there is not a ferry every day at every hours, like for the Amalfi coast,
- there is only one ferry, at 8 a.m., available to have the time to make the excursion and to come back to have a dinner and to sleep in Salerno;
so, for these reasons, after to check the weather, it’s better the day before, to buy the ticket to Capri in advance. You will find all the information on this page of our website:
